AEDAN GRADUATES FROM NICU 28 JUNE 09!


We are pleased to announce after many car seat adjustments and painful trips to Toys-R-Us A nurse has decided he can ride in a 3rd car seat tried! So we get to bring Aedan home today and are most pleased and excited to re-unite them and now get no sleep for the next 24 years. At least we didn't have triplets! Right John Mark and Jennifer?!!

Thanks to family and friends for good times! No one got drunk or in a fight! Good Job! Thanks again for all the gifts and well wishes - especially to all the help in organizing!

26 June 09 Aoife GRADUATES







So Aedan had a de-saturation spell in car seat - but is doing well. He should be home in 48 hours! So to get some practice anyway, Aoife gets to come home without her brother to test the parenting skills and check out the new "crib!" Say Goodbye Aedan! - Until Sunday 28 June 2009!

So June 22-25 We prepare to take them home! They stayed in the same crib and are growing well.
Sometimes they slept well and other times explored their neighbor!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL


So my first father's day - 21 June 2009. We had a great day with the kids!

Finally moved to open air cribs - So maintaining feedings and weight - coming home soon! That means "we" start changing and bathing them - to get some practice!

So day 17 they graduated from NICU - and are doing well. Although still in an incubater - they are almost maintaining own body temp without much help. Both weigh over 4lbs now. At least they are not biting or fighting yet!

Áedán and Áoife are really growing and starting to show some smiles and interaction. Áedán cried when his sister was getting fed before him!

Áedán gets a bath! Áoife gets fed by mom - both are nearly 4lbs and doing well. Hope Áedán is off oxygen today - June 10th.

The twins did well right away. Áedán early on relied on a feeding tube for a while for extra feedings! they both gained weight - back to their birth weight within the first week. Áoife fed well from bottle and is catching up weight wise. End of first week of life they weighed 3 1/2 Lbs
