LAURA MEETS THE TWINS

Girl born first 1157pm = 3Lbs 2oz

Boy born next 1159/1200am (next day?) = 3Lb 10oz

HEAD TO DELIVERY ROOM #2 MAY 27 2009 11pm

So OB, Anesthesia and Pediatrics were all helping us out! laura got the needed epidural and did great! She finally felt no pain and stopped teaching us naughty words in espanol!

TWINS COME OUT!!

Laura experiences first real contractions at 31 1/2 weeks around 845pm
OUCH!!!

But she did well and only demanded narcotics x 1!!

VISITORS in HOSPITAL

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! 29 weeks and plus some. We have also had a few visitors.
Aunt Irma and Ally!! My brother-in-law from Georgia, Beau! and Dr Sudip Bose a colleague from Chicago!

COMING EARLY

It is just a matter of time So keep us in your thoughts and prayers - Laura is in pre-term laor (28 weeks plus). Currently the babies are small but look okay per ultrasound. She is feeling fine and hanging in there. Timeline is anywhere from 24 hours to?? 7 to 14 days. She is currently on labor and delivery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio! If no problems she will undergo surgery for delivery when she shows signs of labor. Until then, strict bedrest!!

A baby born at 28 weeks gestation has about a 91 percent chance of survival.
